Controlling the TV requires that the remote control is connected to your TV. You can do this by opening the main menu, selecting "settings" and "Remote control".
The TV portal
Clicking on the Altibox button on the remote control brings up a main menu. Here you get a full overview of your content with, among other things, TV guide, streaming services, recordings, live TV, movie kiosk and search function. On the menu bar you will also find the decoder's settings. Use the arrow keys on the silver wheel to navigate the menu. Click 'OK' if you want to open a menu option.
START OVER
A little late for the broadcast? No problem! By pressing ( |◁ ) on the remote control, you can start the program from the beginning, so you don't miss anything. You can also choose the program you want to start from the beginning via the TV guide. Then click 'OK' when you find the desired program and get the choice to start over.
MINI TV GUIDE
Are you watching an exciting programme, but want to check the TV guide? Press the up arrow in the 'silver wheel' on the remote control. You will then get a side menu where you can click through your channels and see what is on TV right now. Press 'OK' if you want to change the channel via the side menu.
TV GUIDE
The TV guide shows the schedule of all your TV channels. You can click 7 days back and 14 days forward in time. Use ( ▷| ) and ( |◁ ) to navigate forward or backward on the selected channel. Use the arrow keys on the silver wheel to navigate among the channels. If you click on a highlighted programme, you get several options - such as record and start over.
HOW TO RECORD
Recording can be done in three different ways:
Via the TV guide on the decoder:
Click into the TV guide > Find the program you want to record > Click on recording > Select type of recording > Find the recording in 'My recordings' in the TV portal after broadcast.
1. Via the Altibox app on phone or tablet: Same procedure as on decoder.
2. With ◉ on the remote control while watching a broadcast
There are also three choices in type of recording:
1. Record future episodes: Record this and all recent episodes of the show.
2. Record the entire series: Record previous episodes and seasons if they are shown on TV in the future.
3. Record the programme: Only records the selected programme.
MY RECORDINGS
You will find all the recordings under 'My recordings' in the main menu, both on the decoder and in the Altibox app. In the Altibox app, you can also download the recordings so they can be viewed offline when you are not connected to the internet.
NRK TV/NRK SUPER
Via the menu options 'NRK TV' and 'NRK Super' you will find NRK TV's entire archive for adults and children. The programs are divided into categories so that you can easily navigate between films, series, documentaries and other, without
to think about sending form. Use the search field if you are looking for a specific program. Pressing the Altibox button returns you to the main menu.
GOOD NORWEGIAN
You will find 'Godt Norsk', a streaming service full of Norwegian films that you can watch whenever you want, in the main menu. This is included in your subscription in the same way as the regular channels.
POWER SERVICES
Streaming services are content that is not linked to the TV guide. The various services offer films and series for both children and adults, and are only available for use if you have selected them with your points. If you want access to the streaming services, you can make changes to your content on 'My pages' as described under 'Use points to select your content'.
PROGRAM ARCHIVE
Here you will find programs shown on TV seven days back in time. Navigate with the arrow keys to select a genre. If you click on a specific programme, you can choose to watch now, browse through available episodes, record or add to favourites.
MOVIES AND SERIES
Here you will find a large selection of films to buy, films to rent and series. Click on a film to see the price and option for purchase or rental. To watch the film, select the desired image quality and confirm the transaction. The sum will be added to your monthly invoice. We treat you to a selected rental film every month. Use the menu in the left corner and select 'film of the month'.
RADIO
Here you get the most popular radio channels directly on your TV. Navigate using the arrow keys on the silver wheel and press 'OK' when you find the one you want to listen to.
MY CONTENT
Here you will find all the content you have selected by 'add to my favourites'. You will also find content you have purchased from Film and Series.
SEARCH
By pressing 'search' in the main menu, you get a unique search service that searches across absolutely all content on the decoder.
SHOP
On the menu bar you will find a shop where you can buy more points and content packs. You can find what you shop on your monthly invoice.
SETTINGS
Here you can, among other things, sort the channel list or hide channels you don't want to see. You can also change the language and text selection, sound and image. With the parental control function and monthly credit limit, you can set preferences for the movie kiosk, 'Films and Series'.
The Altibox app
The Altibox app is available at no extra cost to all customers who have TV decoders from Altibox. Here you can watch almost all the TV channels, in addition to films, recordings, streaming services, TV guides and program archives, on tablets, mobiles, AppleTV 4/4K and computers.
To use the app on tablet and mobile, you must first download it from the AppStore or Google Play.
1. Start the app or open the website www.tv.altibox.no
2. If you are connected to the home network, you will be automatically logged in.
3. If you are outside your home network, you must log in with your username and password.
WATCH TV
TV GUIDE
You can find the TV guide in the bottom right-hand corner of the front page. In the TV guide, you can click on programs you want to watch, add to favorites or start recording. You can also see if there are available episodes in the program archive.

SEVERAL CHOICES

At mtbreiband.no , you as a customer get a personal page with a full overview of your customer relationship, such as invoices. Create a personal user at mtbreiband.no. If you have already created a username and password, you can log in at mtbreiband.no .
When you are logged in, you see the user menu. You can click here for more information on topics related to your customer relationship. In the green field at the top of the page, you will find operating messages for your area.
USE POINTS TO CHOOSE TV CONTENT
In the main menu, click on 'Choose your TV content'.
- The number of free points you have available in your subscription is shown here.
- The green 'ticks' show all channels and streaming services you have selected per dd .
- To select or deselect content, click on the picture of the channel, sports package or streaming service you want/don't want to have in the TV package. Save by pressing the blue button at the score overview.
- It takes max. an hour before changes to selected content are shown on your TV on your TV, although usually much faster. The changes in your TV content are activated immediately when the decoder is restarted.
- If you have selected content that exceeds the number of points, it will not be possible to save.
